Cloth Diaper Service

Some cloth diapers are able to go into the dryer on low settings, but this will cause more wear and tear as time goes on. Using a dryer may also cause damage to waterproof linings, as well as any Velcro, buttons, and snaps. Your baby will go through 8 to 10 diapers in per day. I didn't realize this, even with the service, and called them up when I had trouble fitting my son and they said "well, he's ready for the next size!". I make them, launder them myself and have NEVER had any issues.

All diaper items need the same “wash routine” and can be washed together. You should unstuff pockets by removing the inserts before washing. The only items that need to be hand-washed separately with different care are wool and silk items.

4 service

We strive to make your cloth diaper experience simple and convenient. The cloth diaper services are a great, greener, and eco-friendly choice for busy families in the USA. Our cloth diaper services provide your family with an affordable option for cloth diapering. Our cleaning services are much easy than home wash and also environment friendly as compared with disposable diapers. We are excited to show you how convenient and easy cloth diapering is, with our wide range of sustainable diapering services.

I used pocket diapers, so I used to double up microfiber inserts at night. Disposable diapers use some natural fibers such as cotton and materials sourced from trees; however, the absorbent layer is made of a water-absorbing polymer. You can always find great deals on monthly diaper subscriptions and the added bonus is that they are usually delivered to your door. So you don’t need to run to local Target on Sunday evening if you run out. And that is before you add in any additional costs. Multiply that cost by the 3.5-years on average it takes to potty train a child, and you are looking at a lifetime cost easily over $3,000.

traditional prefold style

Cloth diapers are made from natural cotton and contain no chemicals. Up to 70 infant or 55 regular cloth 100% unbleached cotton prefold diapers delivered weekly to your door. Begin this adventure with only two to three cloth diapers and see how you feel. To effectively strip your diapers, you don’t need to try anything fancy — no soaking or prewashes necessary. You only need clean diapers, a good laundry treatment, and patience.

Complete diaper services offer balanced pH diapers with no chance of build-up or ammonia. It’s most convenient if someone is home to make the exchange, but many services will work with you to pick up and drop off cloth diapers even if no one is at home. The customer experience is no different than dealing with disposable diapers.

Changes to your delivery

The most commonly used water softeners in the United States are Borax and Calgon. Soft water does not typically need additional softener - detergent alone is enough! Moderate water may need water softener in the main wash, especially if you use a plant-based or free and clear detergent. At a certain point, you will need water softener in both cycles. Once you have done your water hardness test, reach out to your TCO volunteer or contact us via email or our Facebook page. We are glad to help you figure out how much softener you should add.

It is good to have acloth diaper compatible cream or balm at home in the event that your baby develops some redness. Depending on where you live, there may only be one choice in your area. Unfortunately, some areas do not offer this service at all. In contrast, larger cities may have a few different services to choose from.

My reality is that the combination of hard water and HE washer is making cleaning my own diapers extremely difficult. We have ammonia stink in basically every diaper. My wash routine is cumbersome and I still end up with crunchy diapers (so it clearly still needs tweaking, plus, we're still having ammonia issues).

We have decided to go with home washing over the diaper service. I think we can handle the extra loads of laundry in a week for the substantial savings. I am a birth and postpartum doula in the Ann Arbor Area and would love to know which soap or at least the ingredients in the soap you use. I would love to give them some more detailed information about your service if I can.

Follow your baby's amazing development

When baby is born , you will email us to initiate service. You can always count on having a full supply of stain-free diapers. Disposables typically have fewer steps involved and of course, you don’t have to wash them. Disposable diapers range in price on average from $0.14 to $.035 per diaper. We require a credit card on file to pay for your service. We will charge the card on the first of each month for the upcoming month of service.

As mentioned above, we wash our diapers at a super hot 160 degrees F. Not only would those temperatures be unsafe in a home water heater, it would suck up energy 24/7, not just when you are washing diapers. 92 percent of all single-use diapers end up in a landfill. Our landfills aren’t designed to treat human waste, and improper disposal of waste could wind up contaminating waterways and our ecosystem with bacteria and viruses.
